Impactt appoints three new Non-Executive Directors to its Board of Directors

Today we are proud to announce the appointments of three non-executive directors to our Board of Directors. This is a significant milestone for Impactt as we continue to strengthen our governance and grow operations. The new non-executive directors bring with them a wealth of experience in business, human rights, and ethical trade which will be invaluable as we continue to expand our reach and work in these areas.

Our three new directors are:

Vanessa Di Cuffa is an experienced employment lawyer and former People & Change Director at ABP UK. She has had direct experience working to combat modern slavery and building better work cultures in multi-cultural workforces. She founded Cultureology, a business consultancy specialising in people change programmes and aligning business culture to unlock engagement and productivity and produces ‘Unhappy Not Ill’, a podcast encouraging openness about mental health issues.

Terry Babbs, whose executive career was in regulation, international trade and supply chain management with Tesco plc, has served on and chaired a number of international organisations in these fields, including Sedex, the Global Social Compliance Programme (GSCP) and the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). His subsequent non-executive career includes chairing Partner Africa and two terms on the Legal Services Board where he also chaired their Audit and Risk Assurance Committee. He is currently vice chair of the Investment Committee of Oxfam’s Enterprise Development Programme and a non-executive director of HMRC’s Valuation Office Agency. Terry is also the Senior Independent Director at the General Dental Council and chair of its Finance and Performance Committee and a Commissioner of the Gambling Commission.

Phil Mumby, an innovative supply chain specialist with extensive experience in working with companies who want to develop sustainable and ethical procurement systems, particularly with complex supply chains. Phil is a tea specialist and was one of the first movers in the ethical trading movement based on his multi-stakeholder work in farmer supply chains. He was a founding director and chair of the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI). He is a freelance ethical trading consultant, and also continues to work in tea, offering support and advice to a variety of clients.
