We are delighted to announce the publication of our 4th annual report in our role as External Monitor to the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy in Qatar. This report outlines why we believe that the Supreme Committee is poised to leave a lasting legacy in pioneering ethical recruitment practices and sustained worker welfare.

Notable improvements in worker satisfaction

The Supreme Committee has driven notable improvements in overall worker satisfaction – though key challenges remain with delayed wages, payslips and working hours. Recruitment fees were still being reported at all contractors audited – however, the Supreme Committee has made breakthroughs to extend the Supreme Committee Universal Reimbursement Scheme (SCURS), which reimburses workers without requiring proof of payment.

New three-pillar roadmap

Together with the Supreme Committee, Impactt have developed a new three-pillar roadmap which will deliver a Tournament that promotes a lasting respect for human and labour rights beyond the final whistle.
