Introduction to Impactt
Impactt is a leading consultancy specialising in ethical trade, human rights and labour standards. We work with major brands, retailers, governments, academics and NGOs to maximise the positive impacts of global trade on workers and local communities. With offices in the UK, Bangladesh, China, India, and a wide network of consultants across Europe, Asia and Africa, we are internationally recognised for our change focused, practical and innovative approach. Impactt works with a wide range of stakeholders, from large retailers and government bodies to factory workers and local communities. Often the experiences and languages of these different stakeholders are so far apart that they do not ‘see’ or interact with each other. Impactt helps to bridge the gap and deliver real change on the ground.
Impactt is looking for an experienced individual with strong business development skills to support the implementation and execution of an ambitious China growth strategy.
You will get to work with some of the biggest brands in the world and have a positive impact on millions of workers in the supply chain. The role offers exposure to multiple industries, sectors, and markets, and an exciting opportunity to influence the overall growth strategy for Impactt’s China office. You will be a key decision maker with the opportunity to influence decisions while working as part of a global team.
The China CSR Business Development Manager will report to the China Director and work closely with the UK Commercial team. The candidate can be based in Guangzhou, or remotely in Shanghai, and will be instrumental in positioning the company as the go-to-partner for CSR/responsible sourcing.
Ideally, the candidate will have 8+ years’ experience in business development and can hit the ground running in building relationships and developing new leads and opportunities.
To be successful in this role you will need to be passionate about Impactt’s mission to improve the lives of workers in global supply chains. You will also need to have a flare for persuasive communication, be comfortable with public speaking, and meet challenges with a “can-do” attitude.
- Develop and implement strategies and action plans to grow Impactt’s business, with a particular focus on the China market
- Consultative business development
- Develop and implement a robust Account Management action plan
