Introduction to Impactt
Impactt is a leading consultancy specialising in ethical trade, human rights and labour standards. We work with major brands, retailers, governments, academics and NGOs to maximise the positive impacts of global trade on workers and local communities. With offices in the UK, Bangladesh, China, India, and a wide network of consultants across Europe, Asia and Africa, we are internationally recognised for our change focused, practical and innovative approach. Impactt works with a wide range of stakeholders, from large retailers and government bodies to factory workers and local communities. Often the experiences and languages of these different stakeholders are so far apart that they do not ‘see’ or interact with each other. Impactt helps to bridge the gap and deliver real change on the ground.
Impactt is looking for an experienced, innovative, and consultative ethical trade/responsible sourcing expert with strong business development skills to support the implementation and execution of an ambitious China growth strategy.
The China Business Development Manager will report to the China Director and work closely with the UK Commercial Manager. The candidate can be based in Guangzhou or Shanghai, and will be instrumental in the delivery of Impactt’s growth plan, positioning the company as the go-to-partner for ethical trade / responsible sourcing in China.
The successful candidate will be part of Impactt’s growing China team, which brings an exciting opportunity to influence the overall development strategy for the country. Ideally, the candidate will have 8+ years’ experience, and can hit the ground running in building relationships and developing new leads and opportunities.
To be successful in this role you will need to be passionate about Impactt’s mission to improve the lives of workers in global supply chains. The primary focus is China; however, travel may occasionally be needed to other parts of Asia.
- Develop and implement strategies and action plans to grow Impactt’s business, with a particular focus on the China market
- Consultative business development
- Develop and implement a robust Account Management action plan
